PENEPIN JR. AUTO-INJECTOR CONTAINING I.M INJECTION SOLUTION 0.15 mg/0.3 ml

Active ingredient: Each PENEPIN JR. The auto-injector contains 0.15 mg epinephrine as the active ingredient.

Excipient(s): Sodium chloride, sodium metabisulfite (E 223), hydrochloric acid and water for injection.

PENEPIN JR. Contains sodium metabisulfite (E223) as an excipient. This may cause allergic-type reactions, including anaphylactic symptoms and bronchospasm, in susceptible individuals, especially those with a history of asthma. If you experience such side effects, you should seek medical help immediately.

With high doses of epinephrine or in sensitive patients, rarely, there may be a sudden increase in blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, heart attack, and decreased blood flow to the mucous tissue, skin, and kidneys, which may lead to brain hemorrhage.

These are all very serious side effects.
