Before you start using this medicine, read this INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE carefully, because it contains important information for you.

CIPRONATIN can be used together with other antibiotics (combination therapy) in the treatment of patients with low white blood cell count (neutropenia) and fever thought to be caused by bacterial infection.

In case of a severe infection or an infection caused by more than one type of bacteria, additional antibiotic treatment may be applied in addition to CIPRONATIN.

Fluoroquinolones, including CIPRONATIN, should not be used in acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis and uncomplicated urinary tract infections in the presence of alternative treatment options due to the risk of serious side effects.

In these indications, it can be used when other treatment options have failed.

CIPRONATIN can only be used in the treatment of infections that are proven or seriously suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

Your doctor will tell you how long and how often you will use CIPRONATIN. This time depends on the type of infection you have and how severe it is.

If you have kidney disease, inform your doctor because the medication dose may need to be adjusted.

Treatment usually takes 5 to 21 days, but can sometimes take longer for severe infections. Always take this medication exactly as your doctor tells you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist how many tablets you should take and how you should use them.

Keep in mind to drink enough fluids while using this medicine.

Like all medicines, CIPRONATIN may have side effects in people who are sensitive to its ingredients.

If one of the following occurs, stop using CIPRONATIN and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital.

Other side effects observed during treatment with CIPRONATIN are listed below in order of frequency.

Cases of dilatation and weakening of the aortic wall or tears in the aortic wall (aneurysms and dissections) and heart valve leakage, which can be fatal and can be fatal, have been reported in patients receiving fluoroquinolones (See Section 2).
