Before you start using this medicine, read this INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE carefully, because it contains important information for you.

TAZOTENE is a white off-white cream.

TAZOTENE is offered to the market in aluminum tubes and cardboard boxes containing 30 g and 60 g cream, closed with a polyethylene cap, and with instructions for use.

TAZOTENE is a medicine containing the active ingredient tazarotene, used in the external treatment of plaque-type psoriasis and in the external treatment of patients with acne.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

You should always use TAZOTENE as your doctor tells you. If you are not sure, consult your doctor or pharmacist again.

Unless your doctor recommends otherwise, apply TAZOTENE as a thin layer of cream to the affected area once a day (in the evening) in the treatment of psoriasis. If you have taken a bath or shower before applying TAZOTENE, dry your skin.

Unless your doctor recommends differently, use TAZOTENE in the treatment of acne. After washing your face gently, dry it and apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area once a day (in the evening).

TAZOTENE should not be used in the treatment of patients with psoriasis under the age of 18 and patients with acne under the age of 12.

Like all medicines, side effects may occur in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in TAZOTENE.

TAZOTENE may cause itching, burning, redness and peeling of your skin. Wind or cold weather may be more irritating to your skin while you are using TAZOTENE. If any symptoms of skin irritation occur, tell your doctor. Your doctor may stop using TAZOTENE or recommend using it less frequently until your skin improves.
