PARCETOL is a red colored, raspberry scented, sweet syrup. It is a medicine that contains 120 mg paracetamol in each dose (each 5 ml) and acts as a pain reliever and antipyretic.

PARCETOL is offered as 100 ml and 150 ml, in 100 ml and 150 ml honey-coloured glass bottles.

PARCETOL is used in the symptomatic (not curative, but relieving the symptoms of the disease) treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever in children.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

Do not use more than the dose recommended by your doctor.

Use it at the lowest dose and for the shortest time you need to relieve your symptoms.

Do not use PARCETOL more frequently than every 4 hours. Each 5 ml scoop contains 120 mg paracetamol.

Use every 6 hours, with each dose being 10-15 mg per kg of body weight. If your child weighs over 30 kg, use a maximum of 500 mg per dose.

Like all medicines, PARCETOL may have undesirable effects in people who are sensitive to its ingredients.

If any of the following occur, stop using PARCETOL and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital:

Skin rash, itching, eczema, allergic (hypersensitivity) edema, swelling of the face, tongue or especially the throat leading to shortness of breath (anaphylactic shock), widespread discharge rash (acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis), symptoms resembling scalding on the skin (toxic epidermal necrolysis), hypersensitivity causing a lace-like redness on the hands, face and feet (erythema multiforme).

These are all very serious side effects. If you have one of these, it means you have a serious allergy to PARCETOL. You may need emergency medical attention or hospitalization.
