LOTANS PLUS FILM COATED TABLET 100 mg/25 mg

Active ingredients: Contains 100 mg losartan potassium and 25 mg hydrochlorothiazide.

Excipients: Microcrystalline cellulose (E 460), lactose monohydrate (obtained from cow’s milk), pregelatinized corn starch, sodium starch glycolate type A, magnesium stearate (E 572), hydroxypropyl cellulose (E 463), hypromellose 6 cp (E 464), titanium dioxide (E 171).

LOTANS PLUS is a combination of losartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, and hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic. Angiotensin II is a substance produced in the body that binds to receptors in blood vessels and causes them to tighten. This causes an increase in blood pressure. Losartan prevents angiotensin II from binding to these receptors; It causes relaxation in blood vessels and a decrease in blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide allows more water and salt to pass through the kidneys. This helps lower blood pressure. Each film-coated tablet contains 100 mg losartan potassium and 25 mg hydrochlorothiazide.

LOTANS PLUS is presented in blister packs containing 28 film-coated tablets.

They are white, oblong, biconvex film-coated tablets with scores on both sides. The tablet can be divided into two equal parts.

There is no experience regarding the use of LOTANS PLUS in children and adolescence. Therefore, LOTANS PLUS is not recommended for those under 18 years of age.

LOTANS PLUS generally works equally well and is tolerated in most older patients and younger adult patients. Most elderly patients use the same dosage as younger patients.

If you have moderate renal impairment, no dose adjustment is required. LOTANS PLUS is not recommended if you are on dialysis. Do not use LOTANS PLUS if you have severe liver or kidney failure.

If you have the impression that the effect of LOTANS PLUS is too strong or weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

If any of the following occur, stop using LOTANS PLUS and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital.

These are all very serious side effects.

If you have one of these, it means you have a serious allergy to LOTANS PLUS. You may need emergency medical attention or hospitalization.

Angioedema has been reported in the past in some patients with the administration of other drugs, including ACE inhibitors.

Like all medicines, side effects may occur in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in LOTANS PLUS.
