INHALATION SOLUTION FOR ASTOSAL NEBULIZATION 2.5 mg/2.5 mL

Active ingredient: Each 2.5 mL single-dose vial contains 3 mg salbutamol sulfate, equivalent to 2.5 mg salbutamol, as the active ingredient.

Excipients: Sodium chloride, sulfuric acid, water for injection.

ASTOSAL contains salbutamol as the active ingredient. It is a member of a group of medicines called “fast-acting bronchodilators (bronchial dilators)”.

ASTOSAL; It is in the form of a clear, colorless solution. ASTOSAL are plastic vials containing salbutamol solution in normal saline. Each vial contains 2.5 mL of solution and there are 20 vials in each box. ASTOSAL, which is in liquid form in the vials, is turned into vapor with the help of a device called “nebulizer”. ASTOSAL, which is breathed into the lungs through the mouth, widens the airways within a few minutes, allowing you to breathe easier.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

Always use this medicine as directed by your doctor. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

The starting dose is 2.5 mg via moist inhalation. The dose can be increased up to 5 mg. The treatment can be repeated 4 times a day.

Adults with very severe airway obstruction may receive doses as high as 40 mg per day in hospital under very close medical supervision.

ASTOSAL can be used at any time of the day, hungry or full.

Like all medicines, side effects may occur in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in ASTOSAL.

If your breathing or wheezing gets worse immediately after taking this medication, stop using it immediately and tell your doctor as soon as possible. If available, try another fast-acting asthma medication as soon as possible.

If any of the following occur, stop using ASTOSAL and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital.

If you experience an allergic reaction, stop taking ASTOSAL and consult a doctor immediately. These reactions occur very rarely in patients.
