TEOBAG 200 INJECTABLE SOLUTION (MEDİFLEKS IN BAG)

Active ingredients: Each 100 milliliter solution contains 200 mg theophylline anhydrous and 5 g dextrose monohydrate.

TEOBAG 200 is a disposable solution prepared for intravenous use, which is sterile and does not contain any incendiary substances.

Theophylline, the active ingredient of TEOBAG 200, is a bronchial relaxant (bronchodilator) and smooth muscle relaxant that directly relaxes the smooth muscles in the bronchi and blood vessels of the lungs.

Bronchial relaxants (bronchodilators) are medications that widen your airways within the lungs, making it easier for air to enter and exit your lungs and making your breathing easier. Theophylline also stimulates your respiratory center in the brain.

TEOBAG 200 is used in the treatment and prevention of asthma symptoms and the treatment and prevention of reversible bonchospasm (bronchial narrowing) symptoms seen in chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

General instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

Your doctor will determine the dose of your medicine depending on your disease and administer it to you.

TEOBAG 200 is administered intravenously.

Your doctor will inform you how long your treatment with TEOBAG 200 will last. Do not stop treatment early because you may not get the desired result.

No adequate clinical studies have been conducted on its use in children under 1 year of age. When used in this age group, the benefits and risks should be carefully evaluated, and theophylline should be used only if absolutely necessary in babies under 6 months of age, due to differences in metabolism.

Like all medicines, side effects may occur in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in TEOBAG 200. These side effects are generally mild unless the drug has increased to harmful levels in your blood, and they are temporary, similar to caffeine, such as nausea, vomiting, headache and insomnia. However, if the drug reaches harmful levels in your blood, a number of side effects may occur, including persistent vomiting, heart rhythm disturbances and unstoppable epileptic seizures that can be fatal.

While using TEOBAG 200, if the drug does not rise to harmful levels in your blood, the side effects that may occur are listed below.

Widespread temperature increase in the body, burning sensation, redness, itching, widespread rash, swelling (edema) in the tongue, lips, larynx area and resulting difficulty in breathing, widespread edema and bruising in the body, feeling of tightness in the chest, cough, fainting, dizziness and coma.
