RENNIE® DUO SUSPENSION 600 mg + 70 mg + 150 mg/5 mL

Active ingredient: 600 mg calcium carbonate, 70 mg magnesium carbonate, 150 mg sodium alginate

Excipient(s): Sodium bicarbonate, xanthan resin, sodium saccharin, mint flavor, chocolate flavor, benzyl alcohol, propyl parahydroxy sodium benzoate (E217), purified water.

This medicine is for you to obtain without a prescription and treat a mild illness without the help of a doctor, with the advice of your pharmacist. However, you still need to use RENNIE DUO carefully to get the best results.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

The standard dose for adults and children over 12 years of age is 10 ml = 2 teaspoons (5 ml = 1 teaspoon), unless otherwise recommended by the doctor. It is recommended to take this dose one hour after main meals and at bedtime. If you have a burning sensation in the stomach and/or chest, you can take an additional dose (=2 teaspoons).

A maximum dose of 8 grams of calcium carbonate per day (corresponding to 60 ml of suspension) should not be exceeded and should not be taken continuously for more than 2 weeks.

You can use RENNIE DUO up to 12 teaspoons (5 ml = 1 teaspoon) per day.

Your doctor will inform you how long your treatment with RENNIE DUO will last. If your complaints continue despite using RENNIE DUO uninterruptedly for 14 days, consult your doctor.

Like all medicines, RENNIE DUO may have side effects in people who are sensitive to its ingredients.

Possible side effects are listed below according to their frequency.

If any of the following occur, stop using RENNIE DUO and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital.

These are all very serious side effects. If you have one of these, it means you have a serious allergy to RENNIE DUO. You may need emergency medical attention or hospitalization.

Long-term use of high doses may cause high blood levels of calcium and magnesium, especially in people with kidney disease. This can cause nausea and vomiting, upset stomach, diarrhea, fatigue, muscle weakness, confusion, increased urine production, increased thirst, and dehydration.
