It is administered intramuscularly or intravenously.

Active ingredient: Each ampoule (2 ml) contains 10 mg Metoclopramide hydrochloride.

Excipients: Sodium chloride, sodium metabisulfite (E223) and water for injection.

PRIMPERAN is a drug administered intramuscularly/intravenously in an amber glass ampoule containing 2 ml of clear, colorless solution. The active ingredient of PRIMPERAN is metoclopramide hydrochloride. Each 2 ml ampoule contains 10 mg metoclopramide hydrochloride. It is available in packages of 6 and 100 ampoules.

PRIMPERAN acts on the muscles that enable the food in the digestive system to move through the stomach and intestines.

The most common use of PRIMPERAN is to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting (antiemetic), and PRIMPERAN is especially effective in relieving nausea due to migraine and cancer treatments. It can also be used in some diagnostic tests, for example when a tube needs to be inserted into the stomach or intestine or during a barium examination.

It is also effective in relieving discomfort caused by increased acid in the stomach.

PRIMPERAN is used for postoperative nausea and vomiting in children older than 1 year. It is not recommended for use in children for any other purpose.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

Your doctor will determine the dose of your medicine depending on your disease and administer it to you.

Use for the treatment and relief of nausea and vomiting in adults (18 years and older)

A single dose can be administered intravenously 10 minutes before the examination.

PRIMPERAN is administered by intramuscular injection or slow intravenous injection (over at least 3 minutes).
