NORODOL® DECANOATE I.M. SOLUTION FOR INJECTION 150 mg/3 ml

Active ingredient: Each ampoule; Contains Haloperidol decanoate equivalent to 50 mg Haloperidol base in 1 ml.

Excipients: Benzyl alcohol, sesame oil.

NORODOL® DECANOATE belongs to the group of butyrophenone derivatives and contains haloperidol decanoate, which belongs to the group of neuroleptics.

NORODOL® DECANOATE; It is available in amber glass ampoules containing 1 ml and 3 ml solution, and in packages containing 1 ampoule and 5 ampoules.

NORODOL® DECANOATE is indicated in conditions where long-term maintenance treatment with antipsychotics is required, such as psychotic disorders of the schizophrenia group.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

NORODOL® DECANOATE is normally injected deeply into the muscle by your doctor or nurse, with the dose to last for one month.

Your doctor will decide how much NORODOL® DECANOAT you need. This amount varies and your doctor will adjust the dose that is appropriate for you. The dose given depends on your age, the severity of your symptoms, whether you have other health problems, and your past reactions to similar medications. This dose will likely be in the following range;

In general, your starting dose is 50 mg every 4 weeks, your doctor may increase your dose in 50 mg increments up to 300 mg every four weeks as needed. If your doctor decides that you should take your dose every two weeks, these doses will be halved. In some cases, higher doses may be needed and your doctor will evaluate how much NORODOL® DECANOAT you should take.

Like all medicines, NORODOL® DECANOAT may have side effects in people who are sensitive to the ingredients it contains.

If any of the following occur, stop using NORODOL® DECANOAT and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital.

These are all very serious side effects.

If you have one of these, it means you have a serious allergy to NORODOL® DECANOAT. You may need emergency medical attention or hospitalization.

All of these very serious side effects are extremely rare.
