MELONISENK are white to off-white unscored tablets. MELONISENK contains 5 mg melatonin as the active ingredient. It is available in packages containing 14 and 28 tablets.

MELONISENC is used for the short-term treatment of circadian rhythm sleep disorder (jet-lag) (disorder of the natural sleep-wake cycle that repeats every 24 hours a day) in adults. It can be noticed by circadian rhythm sleep disorders (jet-lag), daytime fatigue, fatigue, mild mental disorder, irritability and digestive system disorders.

Melatonin is a hormone produced by the body that synchronizes the body’s biological day and night rhythm. Biological rhythm can be disrupted by traveling between time zones. This is known as sleep disorders due to time difference changes. Symptoms and severity vary between individuals, but are generally worse and last longer as more time periods are passed. MELONISENC may help restore the normal day and night rhythm and reduce symptoms.

If you do not feel better after 5 days or if you feel worse, you should talk to a doctor.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

Always take this medicine exactly as stated in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

It is used in the diagnosis of circadian rhythm sleep disorder (jet-lag) if the treating physician deems the dose of 5 mg/day appropriate.

The dose that sufficiently relieves symptoms should be taken for the shortest possible duration. It should be used for a maximum of 5-7 days. Although its effect is more noticeable on flights to the East, it is also effective for flights to the West. It can be used on flights with a time zone exceeding more than 2 hours.

The first dose should be taken upon arrival at your destination, at your usual bedtime, and used for a maximum of 5-7 days. To avoid having a negative effect on relieving sleep disorders after jet lag, the tablet(s) should not be taken before 20.00 or after 04.00.

Like all medicines, side effects may occur in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in MELONISENK.

If any of the following occur, stop using MELONISENK and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital.

These are all very serious side effects. If you have one of these, it means you have a serious allergy to MELONISENK. You may need emergency medical attention or hospitalization.
