Hay-D contains the active ingredient cholecalciferol (derived from sheep wool) (Cholecalciferol is also known as vitamin D3). It contains edible gelatin (beef gelatin) as an excipient.

It is used in the treatment, maintenance and prophylaxis (prevention) of vitamin D deficiency.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

Each soft capsule contains 20,000 I.U. Contains (0.5 mg) Vitamin D3.

For the prevention and maintenance treatment of vitamin D deficiency for ages 11-18: 400-800 I.U. daily. 1 Hay-D 20,000 IU soft capsule per month, equivalent to the dose, should be used as recommended by the doctor.

For the treatment of vitamin D deficiency for ages 11-18: 3000-5000 I.U. daily. 1-2 Hay-D 20,000 IU soft capsules per week should be used as recommended by the doctor, equivalent to the dose.

In the prevention and maintenance treatment of vitamin D deficiency: 600-1500 I.U. daily. 1-2 Hay-D 20,000 IU soft capsules per month, equivalent to the dose, should be used as recommended by the doctor.
