CİPRO® I.V. VIAL CONTAINING SOLUTION FOR INFUSION 400 mg/200 ml

Active ingredient: 200 ml infusion solution, ciprofloxacin lactate equivalent to 400 mg ciprofloxacin

Excipients: Lactic acid solution, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, water for injection

Before you start using this medicine, read this INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE carefully, because it contains important information for you.

CIPRO® is offered to the market in bottles. Each vial contains ciprofloxacin lactate equivalent to 400 mg ciprofloxacin.

Ciprofloxacin, the active ingredient of CIPRO®, is a fluoroquinolone group antibiotic. Antibiotics are used to kill the bacteria that cause the infection.

CIPRO® is available in 250 milliliter bottles. The solution in the bottle is a colorless, clear solution.

CIPRO® is used in adults with lung and bronchial infections, otitis media, sinusitis, eye infections, kidney and urinary tract infections, infections of the genital organs, gastrointestinal system and intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, infections occurring in the blood, infections of patients with weakened immune systems, or in cases where the risk of infection is high, intestinal infections of patients with suppressed immune systems. CIPRO® is used in the 2nd and 3rd step treatment of complicated urinary tract infections and kidney infections in children between the ages of 1-17, and in the lung exacerbation of cystic fibrosis due to the bacterium P.aeruginosa. It is also used to reduce the occurrence and slow the progression of respiratory anthrax in adults and children.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

Unless your doctor makes a separate recommendation, the following daily doses are recommended for adults:

Recommended for adults with daily and single dose (mgciprofloxacin intravenously)

Duration of treatment (including switching to oral therapy as soon as possible)

Genital infectionsAdnexitis (inflammation of the ovaries and tubes), inflammation of the prostate gland, inflammation of the sperm duct or testicles

Like all medicines, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in CIPRO®.
