Active ingredient: Each tablet contains 500 mg paracetamol and 13.56 mg codeine phosphate hemihydrate, equivalent to 10 mg codeine.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

PAROL-K is suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age. 1-2 tablets are recommended every 4-6 hours. Dosage adjustment should be made by the doctor and the number of tablets that can be taken at a time should be determined. However, it should not be used more than 6 doses in 24 hours. This dose can be taken in four divided doses during the day, provided that there is no break of less than six hours. The lowest effective dose and shortest treatment duration should be preferred. It should not be used more than the specified dose, and if used, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

This medication should not be used for longer than 3 days. If the pain does not relieve after 3 days, consult your doctor.

It should not be given to children under 12 years of age.

Use in children and adolescents after surgery: Codeine should not be used to relieve pain in children and adolescents whose tonsils or adenoids have been removed due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome.

Like all medicines, side effects may occur in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in PAROL-K.

Undesirable effects due to PAROL-K are generally rare and disappear when the drug is discontinued. Harmful effects are likely to occur if paracetamol is taken over 10 grams (20 tablets PAROL-K).

Regular long-term use of codeine is known to cause dependence and symptoms of restlessness and irritability when treatment is discontinued.
