What is it used for?
LIFTA 5 mg is in the form of light yellow film-coated tablets. The tablets are almond-shaped and marked “5” on one side. It is in blister packaging of 14, 28 or 56 tablets.
LIFTA belongs to the group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors.
LIFTA 5 mg is used in the treatment of the following diseases in adult men:
Erectile dysfunction is the inability to achieve or maintain the erection of the penis necessary for sexual activity. LIFTA has been shown to significantly improve the ability to achieve penile erection suitable for sexual activity. Following sexual stimulation, LIFTA helps the blood vessels in the penis to relax, allowing blood to flow into the penis. As a result, erection occurs in the penis. If you do not have erectile dysfunction, LIFTA will not help.
It should be taken into consideration that LIFTA alone will not work in the absence of sexual stimulation. Therefore, you and your partner should engage in preliminary sexual activity as if you were not taking medication to treat erectile dysfunction.
How to use?
Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration
When using LIFTA, always take it as your doctor tells you. If you are not sure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is one 5 mg tablet once a day taken at approximately the same time each day. Your doctor may adjust the dose according to your response to LIFTA. LIFTA tablets are used orally.
Alcohol use can temporarily lower your blood pressure. If you have taken LIFTA or are considering taking it, avoid excessive alcohol consumption (blood alcohol content should not be 0.08% or more) as it increases the risk of dizziness when standing up.
