OZEMPIC® READY-TO-USE PEN WITH INJECTION SOLUTION 1 mg

Active ingredient: 1 mL solution contains 1.34 mg semaglutide. One pre-filled pen contains 4 mg semaglutide in 3 mL solution. Each dose contains 1 mg semaglutide in 0.74 mL solution.

Excipients: Disodium phosphate dihydrate, propylene glycol, phenol, water for injection, sodium hydroxide/hydrochloric acid (for pH adjustment).

Before you start using this medicine, read this INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE carefully, because it contains important information for you.

OZEMPIC® is a clear and colorless or nearly colorless solution for injection in a ready-to-use pen. Each pre-filled pen contains 3 mL of solution, providing 4 doses of 1 mg.

OZEMPIC® is produced by recombinant DNA technology in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

OZEMPIC® contains semaglutide as the active ingredient. It lowers your body’s blood sugar levels only when blood sugar is too high and helps prevent heart diseases.

OZEMPIC® is used to treat adults (18 years of age and older) with type 2 diabetes for whom diet and exercise are not sufficient:

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

Do not change your dose unless your doctor tells you to.

OZEMPIC® is given as an injection under the skin (subcutaneous injection). Do not inject into a vein or muscle.

If any of the following occur, stop using OZEMPIC® and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital

These are all serious side effects. Immediate medical attention may be required.

Warning symptoms of low blood sugar can appear suddenly. These may include: cold sweats, cold pale skin, headache, fast heartbeat, feeling sick (nausea) or very hungry, visual disturbances, feeling sleepy or sluggish, feeling jittery, anxious or confused, difficulty concentrating, or tremors.
