Summary

Active ingredient: In each tablet; Contains 4 mg of onasetron (5 mg as hydrochloride dihydrate).

Excipients: Lactose (cow’s milk), corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, methyl paraben (E218), propyl paraben (E216), magnesium stearate, purified talc, titanium dioxide, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, propylene glycol, erythrosine dyestuff, white beeswax and carnauba wax.

How to use?

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

Take your medicine as your doctor tells you, the dose prescribed to you depends on the treatment you are taking. This leaflet generally tells you how much and how often you should take your medicine. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Vomiting after chemotherapy and radiotherapy: The recommended oral dose is 8 mg 1-2 hours before treatment, followed by 8 mg orally 12 hours later. To prevent delayed or prolonged vomiting after the first 24 hours, ZOFER treatment should be continued orally for up to 5 days after the treatment course. The recommended dose is 8 mg twice a day.

Chemotherapy with highly emetic properties: ZOFER can be administered orally, intravenously or intramuscularly. The recommended oral dose is 24 mg together with 12 mg oral dexamethasone sodium phosphate, 1-2 hours before treatment. To prevent delayed or prolonged vomiting after the first 24 hours, ZOFER treatment should be continued orally for up to 5 days following the treatment course. The recommended oral dose is 8 mg twice a day.

Postoperative nausea and vomiting: To prevent nausea and vomiting, the recommended oral dose is 16 mg as a single dose 1 hour before anesthesia. It is recommended to be administered as an injection in the treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, side effects may occur in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in ZOFER.

This medicine has not caused any problems in the majority of patients who use it.

If any of the following occur, stop using ZOFER and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital.

These are all very serious side effects.
