Each ULOXETIC 80 mg tablet contains 80 mg telmisartan.

Before you start using this medicine, read this INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE carefully, because it contains important information for you.

ULOXETIC is produced in tablet form. They are oblong, biconvex tablets of white or whitish color, printed with “T80” on one side.

ULOXETIC is offered to the market in blister packages containing 28 and 84 tablets.

ULOXETIC belongs to the group of drugs called “angiotensin II receptor antagonists”. Angiotensin II is produced by your body and causes blood vessels to narrow, thus increasing blood pressure. Telmisartan blocks this effect of angiotensin II, so blood vessels dilate and blood pressure decreases.

ULOXETIC is used to treat essential hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults. “Essential” indicates that high blood pressure is not caused by another cause.

High blood pressure, if left untreated, can lead to damage to blood vessels in various organs. Thus, in some cases, it can result in heart attacks, heart or kidney failure, stroke or blindness. High blood pressure often has no symptoms before this type of damage occurs. Therefore, it is very important to have your blood pressure measured regularly and check whether it is within normal limits.

Instructions for proper use and dosage/frequency of administration

Always take ULOXETIC exactly as your doctor tells you. If you are not sure you should ask your doctor or pharmacist.

It is recommended to use ULOXETIC as a tablet once a day. Make sure to take the tablet at the same time of the day as much as possible.

It is very important that you continue to take ULOXETIC every day unless your doctor tells you otherwise. If you think that the effect of ULOXETIC is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

The usual dose of ULOXETIC to control high blood pressure for 24 hours is 40 mg once a day in most patients. However, your doctor may sometimes recommend you take a lower dose (20 mg) or a higher dose (80 mg).

Like all medicines, side effects may occur in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in ULOXETIC. These effects may not be seen in everyone.

Some side effects can be serious and require immediate medical attention.

If any of the following occur, stop using ULOXETIC and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital.

Sepsis*: (also called “blood poisoning”, a severe infection that occurs in the form of inflammation throughout the body), sudden swelling of the skin and mucosa (angioedema).

These are all very serious side effects.
