CALCYPHOSINE I.V./I.M. INJECTION SOLUTION 300 mg/30 ml

Active ingredient: 1 ml solution contains calcium folinate equivalent to 10 mg folinic acid as the active ingredient.

Before you start using this medicine, read this INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE carefully, because it contains important information for you.

CALCYPHOCINE is an active metabolite of folic acid (vitamin) and plays a role in the synthesis of nucleic acids in our genes.

It is offered in a package containing 1 vial containing a clear, colorless-light yellow/yellow solution. CALCYPHOSIN is used to treat the following conditions:

Your doctor will determine the dose of your medicine depending on your disease and administer it to you.

CALCYPHOSIN is prepared to be administered intramuscularly or intravenously, and such medications should be administered by persons experienced in administering them. It should not be administered into the spinal fluid (intrathecal). It should not be administered in the same syringe as other medications. For intravenous administration, no more than 160 mg of calcium folinate should be injected per minute due to the calcium content of the solution.

The recommended dose depends on your general health and the dose of methotrexate administered.

To reduce the side effects of methotrexate, calcium folinate is given 12-24 hours after the start of methotrexate administration. The initial calcium folinate dose is 15 mg (6-12 mg/m2) and is repeated every 6 hours for 72 hours.

As with all medicines, side effects may occur in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in CALCYPHOSIN.

If any of the following occur, stop using CALCIFOSIN and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital.

These are all very serious side effects.

If you have one of these, it means you have a serious allergy to CALCYPHOSINE.

You may need emergency medical attention or hospitalization.
