Before you start using this medicine, read this INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE carefully, because it contains important information for you.

BETNOVATE-C is a combination containing betamethasone, a topical corticosteroid, and clioquinol, an antimicrobial agent.

BETNOVATE-C is available in ointment form, in 30 g tubes.

BETNOVATE-C is used in the following situations where secondary bacterial or fungal infection is suspected or expected:

Unless otherwise recommended by the physician;

BETNOVATE-C can be used once or twice a day in an amount that will gently cover the affected area in a thin layer. Treatment should be stopped as soon as the disease improves. Since the product named BETNOVATE-C contains 0.1% w/w betamethasone (as valerate ester) and 3% w/w clioquinol, it is appropriate to keep the usage period at 2 weeks until the doctor re-evaluates. Do not continue treatment for more than 2 weeks without your doctor re-evaluating you. The frequency of administration is then reduced or the treatment is replaced with a less potent drug. Sufficient time should be allowed for BETNOVATE-C to be absorbed after each application before applying a moisturizer.

If the condition worsens or does not improve within 2 weeks, treatment and diagnosis should be re-evaluated.

BETNOVATE-C cream is suitable for wet and oozing surfaces, BETNOVATE-C ointment is suitable for dry, hard and crusty lesions; However, this may vary.

Like all medicines, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in BETNOVATE-C.

If any of the following occur, stop using BETNOVATE-C and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital.

If there is worsening or swelling in the treatment area on the skin, you may be allergic to BETNOVATE-C, an infection may have developed, or another treatment may be required.
