Active ingredient: In each tablet; It contains 573.96 mg amoxicillin trihydrate, equivalent to 500 mg amoxicillin, and 148.91 mg potassium clavulanate, equivalent to 125 mg clavulanic acid (raw material obtained from cow’s milk is used in its production).

What is it used for?
AUGMENTIN is a broad-spectrum (effective against many types of bacteria and microbes) antibacterial drug and works by killing bacteria that cause infections. It contains two different active ingredients called amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxicillin is from a group of medicines called “penicillins” that can sometimes be inactivated (stopped from working), while the other active ingredient, clavulanic acid, prevents the inactivation of amoxicillin.
AUGMENTIN 500 mg/125 mg film-coated tablets are available in blister packages, in the form of 10, 14 and 20 pieces, white to almost white, oval-shaped, film-coated tablets with AUGMENTIN written on one side and BID 625 written on the other side.
Raw material obtained from cow’s milk is used in the production of potassium clavulanate, which is equivalent to the clavulanic acid activity contained in AUGMENTIN.
AUGMENTIN is used in adults and children for the short-term treatment of bacterial infections caused by bacteria sensitive to AUGMENTIN in the following conditions:

For adults and children ≥ 40 kg
Children under 6 years of age should preferably be treated with oral suspension forms of AUGMENTIN. For children weighing less than 40 kg, your doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before using AUGMENTIN tablets. Tablet forms are not suitable for children under 25 kg.
For patients with kidney or liver problems
Side Effects
Like all medicines, AUGMENTIN may have side effects in people who are sensitive to its ingredients. The following side effects may occur with the use of this medicine.
If any of the following occur, stop using AUGMENTIN and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital.
