Active ingredient: 400 mg cefixime in each film-coated tablet

Excipients: Dibasic calcium phosphate, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose E15, vaseline liquid, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose pH 102, pregelatinized starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate and opaspray m-1-7120 white (hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, titanium dioxide, sodium benzoate), water.

CEFIXIMA is in the form of white, cream-colored film-coated oblong tablets.

CEFİXİMA is offered to the market in PVC/Al foil blister packages containing 5-10 film-coated tablets.

CEFIXIMA contains an active pharmaceutical ingredient called cefixime. This medicine belongs to a group of antibiotics known as cephalosporins.

CEFIXIMA is used in the treatment of some infections caused by sensitive bacteria.

Dosage for adults and children over 12 years of age

The recommended daily dose is 400 mg. Clinical use is recommended as 400 mg as a single dose per day or 200 mg divided into two equal doses. CEFIXIMA can be used with or without food.

In uncomplicated gonorrhea (an infection transmitted by sexual contact), a single dose of 400 mg should be used.

Treatment for tonsillopharyngitis (inflammation of the throat and tonsils) is 10 days.

Like all medicines, side effects may occur in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in CEFIXIMA.

If any of the following occur, stop using CEFIXIMA and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor and go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital.

These may be symptoms of a disease called acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis “AGEP”.

These are all very serious side effects.
